Courses are open to all levels of experience from beginners to professional artists. A number of concessions are available on all of our courses. Intensive 5 day holiday courses run during Christmas, Easter and Summer holidays. All courses contain an Art History element, with examples of eminent artists used to contextualize the medium and its techniques.

The Studios
Kensington Palace Studios is located in private rooms in a part of the Palace normally closed to the public. The studios benefit from high ceilings and plenty of natural light, making them ideal for art classes. There are dedicated storage cupboards to store paintings and small sculptures for the duration of the course. Studios are equipped with easels, sit-down easels, drawing boards, painting tables and two printer's presses.
The Location
Set within the royal park, Kensington Gardens provide the historic and beautiful setting for our landscape courses. Many of our courses include study and drawing visits to the V&A, which is within close proximity to Kensington Palace Studios. Some of our courses also have access to the Royal Collections (when stated in the course description).
Materials
Charcoal is provided free of charge and a variety of art papers are available at cost price. Once booked onto a course, students will receive a fact sheet detailing any further materials they are required to bring.
Library and Study Room
The historic Wren Room provides a study room for our students to use throughout the day, with a comprehensive art library and audio-visual system. The Wren Room is also used for evening lectures and talks.
Communal Areas and Refreshments
Students have access to communal areas with sofas and armchairs and have an opportunity to participate in a new rotating exhibition of student work. Organic refreshments are available throughout the day and evening and a dedicated self service kitchen is open for students’ use.
Our Team
Our studio manager and technicians are on hand throughout the day and evening courses to answer any questions and assist students.
